Causes of canker sores and how to overcome them

Canker sores or aphtosa stomatitis are sores or inflammation on the lips and in the mouth. These sores can cause pain and discomfort. Although often considered trivial, canker sores can be annoying when the sufferer is eating, drinking or talking.

Causes and Symptoms of Canker sores
Thrush can be caused by one or a combination of the following conditions:
  • Injury, for example due to being bitten or brushing your teeth incorrectly
  • Fungal, viral, or bacterial infections in the mouth or in other parts of the body
  • Autoimmune diseases, such as lupus
  • Certain conditions, such as hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, stress, smoking habits, and heredity
Canker sores can be oval or round, white or yellow with a red border, with varying sizes and numbers.

Treatment and Prevention of Sprue
Generally, canker sores do not need to be treated and will heal by itself in 1-2 weeks. Patients can do the treatment independently at home to relieve pain, for example by compressing the part that hurts with ice cubes.

So that thrush does not reappear, there are several ways you can do to prevent it, namely:
  • Maintain healthy teeth and mouth
  • Brush your teeth regularly and properly
  • Have your teeth and mouth checked regularly
  • Eat a balanced nutritious diet
