Causes Of Tooth Abscess In Children

What is a tooth abscess?

A dental abscess is the formation of a pus-filled pocket or lump in the tooth caused by a bacterial infection. Dental abscesses usually appear at the tip of the tooth root (periapical abscess). Bacterial infections that cause dental abscesses commonly occur in children with poor dental hygiene and health. The pus that collects in the lump will gradually become more painful.

Not only in the tooth, abscesses can also spread to other parts of the mouth such as the gums and jaw, and also various parts of the body, if not treated immediately.
The cause of a dental abscess is the development of bacteria in the oral cavity that spread to the soft tissues and bones of the face and neck.
Bacteria enter the dental pulp through the tooth cavity or cracks in the patient's tooth. Inside the dental pulp itself there are several blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue.
Some factors that can increase a person's risk of suffering from a dental abscess are:
1.High sugar foods
Eating foods and drinks with high sugar content can cause cavities in the teeth that can develop into dental abscesses.
2.Poor dental hygiene
People who do not take proper care of their teeth and gums are at risk of dental problems, including tooth abscesses.
